photography | “the crisis is suburbia” 2024
This series aims to capture the splintering reality of suburban living on young queer voices. It portrays our character right before the fury of the storm, torn between wanting to feel at home, while home doesn’t accept them. Developing my skills in shooting on new locations, working with natural lighting and natural environments, strobes and external light equipment, and documenting complex themes.
Models: Shannon Marsolais and Grace Madey

photography | “How NOT TO USE A CHAIR” 2023
“HOW NOT TO USE A CHAIR” is an object study series dedicated to probing the usability of a simple object. I wanted to inquire on what makes an object practical and how I could evade and expand upon those uses. This series furthered my skillset in the fundamentals of photography, composition, collage, layering, multiple exposures, and merging research with art making.

photography | “sELF” 2022
“SELF” is a self portrait series exploring how to take a self portrait that truly encapsulates the artist. I wanted to use my love of color, horror/gore, surrealism, and multiple exposure photography to create portraits that I felt set me apart as a unique artist and individual. Includes an investigation into experimental editing and Photoshop hard skills, self portraiture, color theory, composition, layering, multiple exposures, and collage/layout formatting.

photography | “Lite spots” 2022
“LITE SPOTS” rebels against the typical bikini photoshoot recipe seen in commercial photography for decades. Adding colorful lights, dark makeup, and heavy jewelry, the model is obstructed from forced hyper-femininity and instead acts as a masculine, strong force. Evolving my beginner level skills in portraiture, color, filtered lens, composition, direction, and photo editing/retouching.
Model: Laurel Murty
